Nebraska Community Blood Bank ( NCBB.ORG ), a division of Innovative Blood Resources ( ), has been saving and sustaining lives since 1968. We are dedicated to connecting people who need life-saving blood with generous volunteers who give. Operating 4 donor centers and conducting dozens of blood drives each month, we are proud to be an independent nonprofit that supplies over 20 area hospitals and clinics with life-saving bloodfrom our community, for our community.

Responsibilities:

Summary:

This position is responsible for the recruitment of donors into a variety of automation platforms to optimize utilization of products and achievement goals. Implements first time donor automation conversion programs that support increased donor frequency and retention. This individual is responsible for the education of donors, staff, and field conversion. Participates in ongoing evaluation of donor base and modifies automation recruitment strategies to increase effectiveness.

Schedule: Monday - Friday to meet business needs. Some travel to Omaha, NE will be needed for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Goes to operations to actively recruit donors to double red cell donations and platelet profiling.
  • Data entry and analysis for Right Type recruitment.
  • Calling donors for automated procedures (Platelets, Plasma, and Double Red Cells). Thoroughlyexplain the process and answer questions.
  • Provides Donor Recruitment and Collections with support of automation collection activities.
    • Available to answer questions related to automation eligibilityand conversion programs.
    • Provides direction and evaluationof customer service initiatives by monitory areas of concernand makes recommendations for additional training.
    • Establishes processes for donor feedback (e.g. follow up calls, thank you calls, satisfactionsurveys) to support donor retention.
    • Creates and manages staff/ donor promotions to increase automated collections.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

2 Years of sales, account management or equivalent experience

Intermediate computer knowledge

Public relations, customer service and volunteer experience preferred

Other:

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Ability to organize and prioritize

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Ability to lead others through coaching/training
