Advisory Services Associate

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Advisory Services Associate to join the team within Arbor Point Advisors, a member of Advisor Group. The Advisory Services Associate provides on-going superior service to our existing and newly onboarded Arbor Point Advisors (APA) by coordinating with key internal departments, technology partners, and custodian partners. The Advisory Services Associate will address any issues or service concerns and resolve to their satisfaction.

Coordination of work, projects, training of office staff, and on-going development of improved operational procedures is also required. The Advisory Service Associate must be able to manage multiple projects and activities concurrently and will be responsible for each project's objectives and oversee quality and timely completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high level of service and support through fielding inbound calls and emails, and making outbound calls as needed to complete tasks.
  • Develop and foster working relationships with APA advisors, prospects, and critical contacts.
  • Work closely with the Operations department to ensure efficient and proper account set up and maintenance processes and procedures and to manage resolution of specific account problems.
  • Educate advisors and their staff about the products, solutions, and services available through APA including account structures, third party managers, fintech, lending, retirement plans, and more
  • Provide support for the Orion platform and integrated technology including, but not limited to Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems and financial planning tools. This support includes general navigation, service request submission with technology partners, and more.
  • Navigate and function within custodian technology and work with custodian partners.
  • Provide value-add recommendations to increase operational efficiencies within client firm's back office.
  • Develop and maintain training manuals, operational workflow systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Analyze current processes and make recommendations on quality process improvements with internal systems and workflows.
  • Participate in the identification of potential risks associated with APA programs and contribute to the creation of gap closures to mitigate risk.
  • Research industry-related trends and developments that may impact APA and our advisors.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Basic Requirements:

  • Ability to provide an extraordinary level of customer service and support to advisors
  • Skill in networking and establishing relationships with advisors
  • Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with various business units and to build consensus for key initiatives
  • Ability to analyze issues, identify key variables and develop appropriate solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Familiarity with Schwab, Fidelity, TD and NFS platforms
  • Understanding of fee-based billing methodology and systems
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality of information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skill in operating various office equipment and software programs (i.e. Microsoft Office)
  • Ability and willingness to travel 5% - 10% of the time

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years previous experience in financial services industry supporting an RIA preferred
  • FINRA Series 65 preferred
  • Knowledge of Financial Advisor technology tools (i.e. Orion) preferred
