Job description

Central NJ Real Estate Investment Company specializing in multi-family housing and healthcare seeking to add VP of Investments to work closely with Director of Acquisitions in a financial leadership role, manage the underwriting process of all investments, and cultivate relationships with banks, lenders, and debt sources.

Ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong ability to build relationships and communicate persuasively, has a background as a financial analyst, able to comfortably create and maintain complex financial models and detailed analysis of potential acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the underwriting effort of all investments, develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate prospective investments and alternative capital structures, for healthcare and multifamily properties as well as other investments.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with investors, banks, lenders, and debt sources.
• Prepare financing/investment memorandums, pitching transactions, procuring term sheets from financial institutions and capital sources.
• Provides data analysis and consultation services to departments and services within the organization through the use of measurement tools and monthly reporting systems.
• Reports on the investment activities of the organization directly to the principals of the organization.
• Identify healthcare trends in reimbursement, admissions and discharges.
• Coordinate due diligence efforts.
• Business development and growth of assets under management
• Attend meetings, conferences, and presentations.
• Manage reporting and existing relationships with lenders and investors.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage and develop staff.
• 7+ years in real estate financial analysis
• 3+ years or more with a family office, private investor, opportunity fund, entrepreneurial lending institution or other for-profit real estate or healthcare-oriented investment organization.
• Strong relationships across the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Thoughtful and creative out-of-the-box thinker focused on understanding and properly mitigating risk.
• Well-organized; strong and independent work ethic with excellent attention to detail
• Highly intelligent and creative thinker
