Overview:

Provides HR leadership and management to all levels of TMO management in the function area of Employee Relations. Oversee the development, administration, and implementation of HR policies, programs and services that are fair and equitable, legally compliant and support the culture and values of the organization. Acts as a strategic advisor on human resources issues to senior management and all levels of employees throughout the company.

Responsibilities:

1. Manages the organizations Employee Relations function. Recommends, develops, implements and maintains HR policies and procedures to promote fair and equitable employee relations and business decisions

2. Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.

3. Oversees and executes all required federal reporting (i.e., EEO-1, etc.)

4. Primary liaison internal and external legal teams, facilitates and coordinates all legal requirements involving employee matters.

5. Provide leadership and consulting support to management on complex employee related matters. .

6. Responsible for coaching direct report business partners to create and maintain a work environment with high morale and productivity; fostering a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission outlined by the leadership of company; making effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to employee groups and management at all levels of the business.

7. Work closely with the Talent Development function to design and deliver training that supports the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.

8. Oversees and recommends employee surveys. Analyzes results makes recommendations.

9. Manages employee handbooks, ensures compliance, appropriate access.

10. Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; workers compensation; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

11. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

12. Create and implement internal standards for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR Operations function.

13. Lead and counsel management to optimize their human capital via employee engagement, organizational efficiency, employee relations, change management, learning and development, and performance management efforts

14. Identify and diagnose talent and organizational issues, partnering with business leaders to implement custom solutions

15. Recommends and participates in the development of teammate recognition programs

16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

At least ten years of human resource management experience required.
Extensive experience in handling complex employee relations matters in multiple states, including California.

Required Education/Training:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
