What you'll do...
The fast-paced, collaborative energy of a startup, with all the support and resources of a large organization - the timing couldn't be better to join our nascent Business Development team, where we're crushing aggressive goals in a rapidly growing Marketplace. We're looking for talented, self-motivated Business Development professionals to help expand our brand assortment and build long-lasting partnerships on walmart.com.
What you'll do:
- Directly support Outbound business development managers, helping them to:
- Prospect Food and/or Consumables category brands to launch on Walmart Marketplace using various lead sourcing tools
- Execute a high volume of cold and warm outreach to a broad list of target sellers
- Manage relationships with brands, retailers, and distributors at the executive level
- Advise sellers on selecting the most compatible programs, promotions, and growth opportunities
- Manage sellers throughout account setup using Salesforce and proprietary systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally to diagnose and resolve seller roadblocks
- Meet and exceed sales forecasts from leadership
- Train other team members
- Provide administrative support as needed for entire Business Development team
You'll make an impact by:
- Working as a team - Collaborate closely with merchants, suppliers and the planning team
- Digging into data - Leverage data analysis tools with complex data, develop and test hypothesis and build insights using visualization tools
- Thinking and acting strategically - Combine data-driven analytics, trends, business intelligence and known upcoming changes to support forecasting
- Building strategic relationships - Maximize relationships with partners and key stakeholders. Build internal partnerships and support your businesses goals.
- Operating with excellence - Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2yrs experience in admin role supporting a sales or business development team
- 1-2 yrs experience using a CRM
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
- Experience talking/negotiating to SMB
- Salesforce knowledge
- Ecommerce or Marketplace experience
