Job description

Grow your career as a Business Analyst - Futures and Equities with an innovative global bank in. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will be required to work onsite 2-3 days per week. Will involve everything from incorporating a new functionality within the existing ecosystem, to analyzing new requirements, documenting solutions, managing implementation and testing systems, ensuring that they are fit for purpose. Will regularly work with a range of high-profile stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the design of Futures execution buildout that combines vendor and in house technology and solution.
  • The role is multifaceted - ranging from framing the scope definition with existing platforms, various vendor solutions, design the framework and hybrid solution.
  • Design and architect the integration of Futures DMA execution component and framework/skeleton.
  • Execute on agreed timelines and scope to meet business requirements taking into account with selected technologies and procedures.
  • Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
  • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Owning business/functional requirements and change requests, documenting solution and managing end to end project delivery.
  • Understanding business priorities and working as a liaison between Business and Development teams.
  • Maintain Book of Work and facilitate prioritization discussions with key business stakeholders.
  • Manage relationship with business and take ownership for providing regular project updates to key business and technology stakeholders.
  • Communicate key project risks, defining mitigation strategies and managing resolution.
  • Develop test strategies, documenting test scenarios and coordinating User Acceptance Testing across front to back tech stack.
  • Develop project plans and UAT Run-books.
  • Work with development and support teams to resolve production issues and identify root cause.


Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of front office technology experiences, familiar with Futures.
  • Strong knowledge and functional understanding of the Futures/Equities business.
  • Strong understanding of the technology landscape and requirements for an enterprise scale solution.
  • Extensive experience in Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS ECS Cloud Platforms.
  • Extensive experiences in system analysis and in programming of software applications using Core Java, Spring framework.
  • Extensive experience with FIX protocol, REST API and message queues (Kafka or Solace).
  • Strong knowledge in traditional databases (SQL) and knowledge on NoSQL databases (Mongo) will be a plus.
  • High development standards, especially for code quality, code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration and deployment.
