Job description

Seeking Technical professionals with experience in the Food & Beverage, Light Industrial, Commercial, and/or Manufacturing market sectors. As a Technical Sales Engineer you will work closely with your customers to troubleshoot and resolve daily plant operational and water/wastewater utility issues in addition to helping them achieve longer-term goals supporting facility sustainability. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of or exposure to industrial water treatment and/or specialty chemical applications expertise with high/low pressure boilers, cooling water, heat exchangers, chillers, and wastewater treatment systems. Our client has multiple sales territories available in Central and Eastern Pennsylvania with little to no overnight travel.

QUALIFICATIONS include:

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or other Engineering or Technical degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of process engineering, project management, applications engineering, or sales account management experience in a technical field
  • Prior experience in water treatment chemical or capital equipment sales or technical support is a plus, but not required
  • Strong relationship management skills and consultative problem-solving mindset
  • Entrepreneurial drive with clear track record of high achievement
  • Experience or exposure to high/low pressure industrial boilers, condensers, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, HVAC systems, waste treatment operations, specialty chemicals, filtration systems, ultra filtration (UF), reverse osmosis (RO), deionization (DI), sludge presses, and/or clarifiers is a plus, but not required
  • Ability and desire to solve problems in a wide range of industrial, manufacturing, and/or commercial process settings
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record


Compensation includes a base salary commensurate with experience, uncapped sales commissions, company vehicle, comprehensive benefits, matching 401K, pension, and paid vacation. The ideal candidate will live within 90 miles of Philadelphia, but relocation assistance may be provided for outstanding candidates. Our client is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
