A Pharmaceutical Company is seeking a Assoc Scientist in Morris Plains, NJ.

Role Description

This role is within the Technical Services group within Process Sciences in Morris Plains, NJ. The Tech Services team supports process development activities within the client pipeline with routine sample analyses, data management, and technical operations.

Their role will be to assist with screening assays that support physical characterization for further clone selection and optimization. In addition, these assays support comparability studies for mAb, DS, DP, conjugation as well. On occasion they will assist support troubleshooting/assessing OOS lots from manufacturing as well as assist the method development AO team.

• Performs routine analysis using various analytical instruments including HPLC, capillary electrophoresis, real-time PCR, UV/Vis.
• Processes and reports data in standard format; interprets and presents results and conclusions of analyses.
• Carries out small scale protein purification using column chromatography for process development and characterization studies.
• Maintains cGLP/cGMP-sound documentation.
• Maintains lab supplies/inventory and instruments; prepares buffers/reagents on an on-going basis.
• Interacts with Process Sciences, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Project Management Office

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelors in a relevant field such as: chemical or biological engineering, biochemistry, chemistry, or biology
• 1-3 years of biopharma experience strongly preferred
• Working understanding of analytical methods used in biopharmaceutical development such as HPLC/UPLC, CE-SDS, IEF, and/or ELISA.
• General knowledge of pharmaceutical product development and/or experience working with monoclonal antibody or ADC products.
• Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a high-performing team.
• Must be proficient with MS Office applications. Working knowledge of LIMS systems preferred.
