Job description

Summary: Working alongside the Residential Mortgage Operations team, the Director of Residential Lending, and the Empower Systems Administrator, the main tasks include assisting in the performance of detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, performing user acceptance testing, and performing system administration activities on the BKFS Empower platform. Also responsible for assisting the Systems Administrator in Empower LOS setup and configuration definition for all components including product and pricing, workflow, service providers, user roles, and others. Participates in change control and promotions into all environments, testing of upgrades, developing test cases and test scripts. Helps execute user acceptance testing. Troubleshoots integrations with all service providers. Provides escalation support for help desk requests from internal users while troubleshooting issues- accelerating items to Black Knight tech support as needed. Provides Empower process, feature, and workflow information to business SME's. Tests business rules.

Minimum Job Requirements: *

  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage operations.
  • Experience with leading residential mortgage LOS systems. BKFS Empower experience highly desired.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Advanced technical skills.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience with process modeling concepts.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to follow through on commitments.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Works well as a contributor to small project teams.

Specific Job Functions: *

  • Works independently and with minimal supervision after developing competency on specific Empower configuration components
  • Shadows and supports the Empower System Administrator.
  • Develops skills to independently manage Empower configurations.
  • Supports business users with problem identification, troubleshooting, and documentation. Submits cases to BKFS as needed.
  • Stays up-to-date on the latest release capabilities of empower.
  • Assists System Administrator in planning, testing, and executing version upgrades.
  • Works closely with vendors, operations teams and management.
  • Ensures solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Assists in the development of test plans and in the execution of user acceptance testing.
  • Documents and maintains user and technical procedures.
