Job Summary:
The Finance Manager will support the Plant Controller as the finance partner for operational performance, compliance, and implementation of process improvements for the Trenton, NJ manufacturing facility which is part of the Residential HVAC & Supply strategic business unit.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage team to support the location. This includes the following:
* Analysis of budgets/forecasts, trend analysis, recommendation/championship of corrective action(s) to address performance issues
* Monthly and quarterly closings as per US GAAP
* Assists with costing and inventory, including annual standards process
* Manage forecast process to provide accurate financial projections, anticipate issues, and catalyze countermeasures
* Manage Annual Operating Plan process and the Long-Range Planning process for the Trenton plant
* Drive the financial month-end close process to ensure accurate P&L and balance sheet reporting
* Provide financial leadership to the operations teams to deliver business results and drive productivity and margin expansion.
* Monitor and report financial performance, analyze and interpret operating results, investigate variances and unusual items; and evaluate their effect on operations
* Provide financial analysis to assist in the evaluation of projects and investments
* Monitor accounts payable and goods received not invoiced
* Review and validate reported productivity and inflation to ensure accuracy and connectivity with financial results
* Assist in the development and presentation of recurring and ad-hoc financial plans, budgets, forecasts, statements, metric scorecards and reports to enhance business decisions and drive operational efficiency
* Drive adoption of analytics and self-service reporting
* Participate in or lead other projects as necessary
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
* 7+ years accounting experience; cost accounting experience preferred
* 5% Travel Required
Key Competencies:
* Ability to work well and influence others in a matrix management environment with accountability to cross-functional partners is a key competency.
* A deep and broad knowledge of manufacturing processes, generally accepted accounting practices/principles, financial policies and regulatory requirements/issues is required.
* Other competencies include a high level of integrity, communication, analytics, change management skills. A superior level of computer and systems literacy is required with particular emphasis on Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), ORACLE or an equivalent ERP/manufacturing application, Alteryx and Tableau a plus.
