VP - Salesforce Architect in Whippany, NJ

Overall purpose of role

The role will be responsible for owning and delivering complex solutions using Salesforce Technologies. The role requires owning and reviewing design elements and signing off on the overall technical design and architecture. The candidate will build customized Salesforce applications, apply technical expertise and leverage a variety of software engineering techniques.

Key Accountabilities

· Responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance and security requirements are met.

· Identify and confirm technical design risks, and develop mitigating approaches.

· Provide level of effort estimates for the technical portion of solutions.

· Lead a team of diverse experts, provide world-class deployment and engineering, and demonstrate thought leadership resulting in new technical capabilities and approaches.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

· Must be able to work with global (London, India and US) and multi-disciplinary (3rd party, contractors) delivery teams.

· Expected to be an excellent communicator (verbal and written) and have strong organization skills, with ability to liaise at all levels of the organization.

· Requires demonstrated capability to influence technology stakeholders to develop the next generation of Salesforce products

· Able to organize and facilitate Salesforce Architecture review and design workshops and manage conflicting priorities.

· Must be able to drive innovation collaboratively and with demonstrated business purpose.

Decision-making and Problem Solving

· Excellent analytical skills and an appetite for problem-solving and delivery.

· Own and drive the technical product vision through to implementation, user acceptance testing and live adoption.

· Manage technical risks and issues, escalating to the Project Manager as appropriate to ensure project delivery remains on track

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

· Extensive experience with Salesforce development, including Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Salesforce configurations, Apex classes and Apex Web services

· Extensive experience with designing Salesforce architecture

· Salesforce certifications: Technical Architect or Systems Architect Salesforce certifications

· Strong understanding of the Salesforce Security model with hands-on experience in Salesforce configuration / customization using Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, Scheduled and Batch classes, Lighting web components (LWC)

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with integrating Salesforce.com with 3rd party applications using REST API, Middleware, etc.

· Extremely organized, particularly in documenting system architectures and data flows

· Good understanding of the DevOps process and experience with the tools that support automation
