Job description
The sales team is responsible for the monetization of Futures properties (digital, video, and print). The sales team adheres to a rigorous sales process that includes, but is not limited to: lead sourcing deadline management, research and program delivery, from pitch stage to sold programs.
JOB SUMMARY & PURPOSE
Were looking for someone passionate about our brands (CinemaBlend, Marie Claire, Toms Guide, TechRadar, PC Gamer, GamesRadar and more), and who combines creativity and strategy with a hunger to succeed and a deep understanding of the Entertainment vertical. This individual is effective in their ability to work with clients, smart in their approach to the vertical, and enthusiastic in their desire to be part of our growth. The Account Executive will establish and strengthen key client relationships with a focus on driving revenue, and advertiser education and satisfaction. Success in this position requires a focus on client service, the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, and the ability to help shape and leverage scalable solutions to grow and support Futures customers.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work closely with Head of Industry to identify and pursue Entertainment vertical clients to sell media, branded content, premium video, and programmatic solutions
* Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Entertainment category
* Effectively navigate the complex agency and brand landscape to reach decision makers
* Understand client needs to present relevant and creative solutions
* Maintain and grow an active pipeline of prospects, proposals and opportunities
* Take an active role in proposal development and planning
* Represent Future within the marketplace, with clients, and at industry functions (youre the person at CinemaCon, Comic-Con, PAX, Brand Innovators and ThinkLA events, and other events as directed by the Head of Industry!)
* Contribute to the sales team and Futures overall growth; be an advocate for the Entertainment vertical
Requirements
* 1-2 years sales experience a plus
* Passion for the entertainment vertical (and hopefully prior knowledge of the site CinemaBlend)
* Ability to sell all products & media types (Creative solutions, digital, print, and events) to advertising agencies and clients
* Prospecting and lead generation
* Grow revenues from existing client base
* Creating sales materials aligning with client needs
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to plan pipeline and manage, develop and drive pitch to hit goals and targets
* Works well as part of a team and independently
* Excellent influencing, objection handling, presentation and negotiation skills
* Good personal time management
* Close business within deadline to hit targets and goals
