Job Description

The Development Coordinator position at the JDRF Greater New York City Chapter provides an opportunity to be involved in numerous Chapter programs and projects. This motivated individual supports, organizes, implements, and expands a variety of development and communication activities that build links to volunteers, donors and the T1D community. The Development Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director and Senior Staff team to help grow the Chapters revenue through both Peer-to-Peer (i.e. walk, cycling, running programs) and Signature Events (i.e. gala, golf programs) fundraising channels. The Coordinator will also manage and enhance the Chapters communication strategies and platforms, including social media, email, e-newsletters and more. This position will be hybrid in nature with the opportunity to work remotely as well as have access to JDRFs New York City office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Understands, supports and maintains the vision, mission, priorities, and guiding principles of JDRF.
* Provides support for chapters development and engagement activities including fundraising, relationship building, events, volunteer and donor development.
* Partners with members of the Senior Staff team on key JDRF initiatives including walks, galas, community and donor engagement projects and more.
* Coordinates the Chapters communications efforts via social media, mass market email, e-newsletters, blog posts, etc. Includes content creation, editing, and planning. Creates and maintains Chapters communications calendar.
* Coordinates the Chapters donor stewardship initiative pulls donor reports, performs prospect research
* Works in collaboration with Chapter staff to manage volunteer inquiries, recruitment and assignments.
* Ensures timely and accurate daily usage of our Salesforce CRM database to document activities with donors and volunteers.
* Utilizes key information and data management systems to drive fundraising and constituent relationships including Luminate Online, Greater Giving, OneCause, Microsoft Dynamics, and more.
* Engages with JDRF constituents, volunteers and staff in a professional, customer focused manner consistent with the JDRF Core Values of being passionate, innovative, collaborative, respectful, trustworthy, appreciative, and results-oriented.
