Job description

Our client, one of the world's largest banking groups, is looking to hire an experienced Enterprise Risk Director to provide expertise and assume full oversight of the groups Risk Appetite Framework. The firm are one of the largest global Investment Banks with a huge global presence that continues to go from strength to strength. As Head of Enterprise Risk Appetite, you will work across all global business lines and risk disciplines and will be responsible for setting Risk Appetite limits and standards across these functions. You will report directly into the Global Head of Enterprise Risk where you will be drive a strong risk management culture, providing expert advice and challenge to senior leaders.

The Head of Enterprise Risk Appetite will be responsible for…

  • Working closely with executive stakeholders to ensure the alignment of firm-wide Risk Appetite processes including Risk Identification, Capital Planning, Stress Testing etc.
  • Ensuring the efficient roll out of Enterprise Risk Appetite and Limits at a granular level across the organization
  • Acting as a SME advising key stakeholders across the business on regulatory and industry standards on the design of risk management practices pertaining to Risk Appetite.
  • Engaging and challenge the board and executive committee to ensure the implementation of risk limits
  • Manage and develop a high performing team

The Head of Enterprise Risk Appetite should have the following qualifications…

  • 15+ years of relevant experience with across multiple risk disciplines (Enterprise Risk , Credit Risk, Market Risk etc.)
  • Deep technical knowledge of regulatory expectations relating to Risk Appetite
  • People management experience essential
  • Excellent negotiation skills with substantial experience of managing and influencing board level stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
