Catholic Mutual Group has an excellent opportunity for a Liability Claims Specialist in our office in New York City. The successful candidate will receive and adjust claims and will work closely with the Operations Manager to provide services required by assureds. The Liability Specialist will facilitate the fair and equitable settlement of claims by investigating and reviewing, verifying coverages, and making recommendations regarding claim settlement and/or payment.

The individual in this position must have a general understanding of insurance, marketing, and communications, with at least three to five years' experience in casualty / liability claims adjusting. The successful candidate should have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. The position requires extensive telephone contact, and the individual should possess the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. An undergraduate degree or the completion of insurance courses such as IIA General Insurance is required.
