The Manager Research team in MASS is looking for a manager researcher focused on liquid equity investment strategies. In this role you will join a high profile, successful, fast growing and multifaceted business that will provide extensive exposure to BlackRock and third-party equity investment managers, as well as significant interaction with BlackRock multi-manager investment teams across client segments. Responsibilities: Independently and in teams research and evaluate investment opportunities and strategies with a focus on public equity strategies. Make well-researched recommendations on asset class opportunities and identify investment managers best able to execute on these,. Collaborate closely with BlackRock multi-manager investments teams in anticipating demand for investment strategies, make allocation recommendations,. Active ownership of recommended investment strategies and the relationship with the respective investment managers, including agreement of commercial and operational terms,. Participate in the design and ongoing management of portfolios with well-researched proposals for strategic investments,. Document research findings from initial due diligence and ongoing monitoring,. Regularly prepare reports summarizing manager performance and portfolio positioning,. Stay up to date about products and trends in the investment management industry,. Work with Manager Research colleagues and Leadership to line up and execute research pipeline,. Represent BlackRock and Manager Research in client meetings and to the investment industry. Contribute to the evolution of our Manager Research processes by proactively suggesting and developing new research techniques. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience and success in conducting investment, manager, and operational research on investment managers that provide equity strategies. Strong cross team and firm relationship building skills, capable of adapting style of communication to the audience,. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics/statistics, or a related field or a demonstrable interest in investments and/or finance,. Has a relevant professional qualification (e.g. MBA/CFA/IFA) or is willing to study towards one,. Excellent written and verbal communications skills,. Outstanding analytical capabilities, which form a crucial part of our research process,. Ability to travel if required, to destinations globally,.
