Job description

Title: Senior Investor Relations / Fundraising Professional

Location: New York City, NY

Start Date: Immediate

Our Client: Headquartered in NYC and founded in 2015, our client is ranked in the Top 1% by Cambridge Associates. Through their unique model, they enjoy venture-like returns with less risky investments. The companies they invest in are designed to transform the industries in which they operate. The team currently consists of 25 people and their track record includes public and private investments across industries and geographies, with a particular focus on technology-enabled businesses. Taking a private equity approach to the VC landscape, they conduct 2 yrs. of research for a novel product or service, then build every company de novo and partner with a CEO who has an established track record. Their stringent and sustainable differentiation, and superior economic model, has yielded unparalleled net IRR returns since inception and created new tangential strains of investment opportunities that currently do not exist in the marketplace. They value their very blue chip LP base who are equally as excited about the future trajectory of the firm. It is not hyperbole to categorize this opportunity as, "once-in-a-lifetime"….

The Role/Team: This is the ideal role for an experienced IR/Marketing professional who is entrepreneurial-minded and wants to play a critical role in building a platform. In advance of raising Fund III in 2022, our client seeks to hire a seasoned professional to build the IR/Marketing function within the organization and report directly to the two Founders. She / he would be directly responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new limited partners and possess the ability to effectively articulate the value drivers and story behind the firm's unique investment strategy.

Responsibilities: The role encompasses a broad spectrum of marketing and investor relations, including:

· Cultivate and maintain relationships with a broad range of the Firm's limited partners via written updates, phone calls, and in person meetings (including travel to visit investors)

· Prepare and manage marketing materials provided to prospective investors

· Utilize CRM to maintain prospective investor information, tracking the progress of each engagement and drive efficiency and productivity in the marketing process

· Interact and collaborate with broader team (investment, finance, and legal teams)

· Other ad hoc projects

Qualifications:

· 6-15 years of total work experience, preferably within an alternative asset management firm, investment bank, consulting firm, or other high caliber institution

· Proven track record of Fundraising for VC or Private Equity

· Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills

· Strong work ethic, acute attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a willingness and desire to learn and work well within a team are critical

· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with proven ability to communicate complexity with simplicity

· Excellent interpersonal, decision-making and analytical abilities

· Professional and personal integrity
