Finance Assistant / Analyst

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required; nonprofit experience preferred.
Starting Salary: starting salary range begins at $60,000 ** When necessary knowledge is achieved and skills demonstrated, this position will assume supervision of some finance staff with increased responsibilities and salary increase.

We have an amazing opportunity open to work in our corporate offices as our Finance Assistant / AnalystAs the Finance Assistant, you will:
- Support the organization's budgeting process, working with all members of the leadership team to develop annual fiscal goals.
- Ensure proper regulatory financial reporting and remain abreast of necessary rules and regulations to maintain compliance.
- Coordinate short and long-range plans to facilitate achievement of the agency's budgetary and operational strategic objectives.
- Review financial results of the organization by department, compare them to established budgets and communicate results to managers and staff throughout the organization.
- Create and coordinate the financial reports for the Board Finance Committee review.
- Keep abreast of the activities of the fiscal department and its systems, including all general ledger functions, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, grants, payroll and fixed assets and ensure that strong internal controls are in place and functioning properly within the department.
- Perform standard journal entries, bank reconciliations and balance sheet account review and analysis.
- Provide informational and analytic support to the strategic and operational management team as well as act a back-up to the duties of the CFO.
