Steelcraft is a manufacturer of Hollow Metal Doors & Frames. We are a division of Allegion PLC; whose mission is to "Make the World a Safer Place". Who we're looking for:
Allegion's Steelcraft business is looking for a passionate, highly motivated and energized HR Generalist. This position's primary responsibility is to drive all Communication, Engagement, Development, Training, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives for the Steelcraft facilities. This role will support the other HR Team Members on an as needed basis. In addition, this role will work closely with the HR Manager to create, monitor and track various HR metrics.
What you'll be doing:
* Works with assigned client groups to proactively develop solutions to support business strategy and to establish and maintain productive internal and external working relationships.
* Provide HR support to employees for Employee Relations issues and questions.
* Knowledge and experience of Labor Relations Process such as grievance administration
* Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support client groups (Workday, Strengths Finder, and engagement).
* Manage all processes related to HR policies for assigned client groups (Benefits, Service Awards, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Referrals)
* Conduct exit interviews on all voluntary terminations and leverages Exit Interview technology support as appropriate; facilitates all termination paperwork for voluntary and involuntary terms (including benefits info, final paycheck, etc.) Maintain, Update and Write job profiles and partner with assigned client groups
* Manage communications and reporting to ensure timely completion of core HR processes such as performance management and employee engagement survey.
* Provide Talent Acquisition support to include full ownership for Non-Exempt recruitment, assistance with Exempt recruitment, and onboarding support for all hires.
* Support Talent programs such as Intern/Coop Programs.
* Identify opportunities for HR Process improvements
* Additional projects to support client groups as appropriate
What You bring:
* Bachelor's Degree required in Human Resources, Labor/Industrial Relations, Management, Psychology, Finance, Business, or related discipline
* 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience preferred
* Experience with HRMS required - Workday a plus
* Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, including emphasis with Excel Pivot Tables
* Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff as well as remote employees
* Strong collaboration skills and work ethic required
* Detail-orientated, organized, with a strong sense of urgency
* Strong problem solving, conflict management, influencing skills, and change management skills
* Strong ability to manage priorities and multi-tasking skills
Added bonus if you have:
* Expert with Microsoft Excel a plus!
* Labor Relations knowledge or experience
* Experience in Manufacturing environment preferred.
