Job description
Fundamental Mission:
- Business Analyst serves as liaison between business customers, and project teams in the design and implementation of technology solutions in a broad range of technology areas.
- Analyzes customer business needs and participates in the planning, design, and implementation of new or enhanced systems or solutions.
- Provides customer support by training in the use of systems and solutions and analyzes system/user problems.
- Documents processes, IT systems, applications, products and/or services.
- Supports the IT department strategic and operational planning activities, the process development, business continuity and disaster recovery plan development activities.
- Provides project management for IT implementations, back-up support for help desk problem management, user support, and asset management activities. Follows up on all work activities and proactively conducts issue resolution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Play a key role in the project management of the system development and implementation.
- Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of system development and enhancements.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing of business systems and provide feedback, suggestions on improvement, and achieve user approval for implementation.
- Responsible for the configuration and daily support of multiple systems including MES, timekeeping and production.
- Key contact with the business users to develop additional system functionality.
- Lead projects to implement new and enhance existing functionalities including articulating requirements and translating them into effective solutions.
- Mentor users and teammates on system functionality.
- Work with the outsourced/offsite resources for the daily application support and implementing enhancement and development projects.

- Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of SQL language- ability to write simples scripts to analyze data and perform specific data queries.
- Process flowcharting
- Technical documentation
- Assisting/training individual or groups of users of systems; identifying and analyzing system problems; implementing and converting systems
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Action oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education/Experience:
- BA/MIS Degree
- Experience with the Vendor Solutions implementations
- Experience in custom system implementations
- Experience with Project Management
- 3-5 years of work experience in automated systems development and/or maintenance which included business requirements gathering and documentation
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to organize and priortize work load and meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
- SQL skills are a plus
- Programming experience is a plus
- .Net programming is a plus
Computer Skills:
- Knowledge of MS Office products, i.e. Word and Excel. Advanced organizational skills to allow for the easy retrieval of files and documents.
