First National Bank & Trust has the following opportunity for a Commercial Loan Assistant at our South Tulsa location!


JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for accurate and timely loan preparation, servicing and maintenance of commercial loan portfolios. Development and implementation of commercial loan related policies and procedures. Knowledge and adherence to all lending regulations. Works directly with supervisor and lending personnel in verifying completion of loan documentation. Assures commercial loans are processed correctly into the loan platform.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assists Loan Officers in managing portfolios and administrative tasks as assigned.
  2. Provides clerical and administrative support to assigned lending staff and assists with setting up commercial loan files with timeliness and accuracy.
  3. Prepares and reviews commercial loan documents prior to closing to ensure all approval conditions and requirement are accurate and complete.
  4. Coordinates orders and workflow with third parties such as title companies, attorneys, inspectors, appraisers to ensure all aspects of loan are handled.
  5. Prepares loan disbursement entries for loan closings, and loan bookings.
  6. Performs exception tracking.
  7. Reviews and processes credit reports and draw requests for customers.
  8. Prepares loan extensions and deferrals. Assists in preparing credit memos.
  9. Coordinates process with participant banks for loan participation purchases or sales.
  10. Maintain files for all repos, small claims, and garnishments.
  11. Responsible for paying non-real estate filing fees, all repo fees, and legal fees.
  12. Prepares HMDA reporting, denials, mortgage releases, and 1099 reporting.
  13. Provide notary services as needed.
  14. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree preferred; experience in loan operations and loan closings considered in lieu of degree.
  2. Proficient in office skills as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  3. Ability to effectively communicate with customers with a high level of professionalism and integrity, as well as strong interpersonal communication skills.
  4. Ability to multi-task, utilize time management to meet deadlines, and work independently.
