More about our Content Engineering Team
We manage the content website, build the brand, content-creation & localization tools for multiple products, run A/B tests, and work with cross-functional partners to grow our business. We're excited to provide a collaborative and supportive environment as you learn more about our team and Momentive/SurveyMonkey at large.
What we're looking for
The Content Engineering team is looking for an Engineering Manager with a passion for solving complex, challenging problems. This Manager will be leading the growing Content Engineering team in Ontario while working with stakeholders and other team members based in California and elsewhere.
You will
- Help grow Momentive's business by optimizing the website experience, extending component libraries, running experiments, improving the content authoring and management experience, and expanding our international presence
- Lead a small, scrappy team of engineers by providing hands-on code reviews, mentorship, and regular check-ins on project status
- Work with product owners on feature sets that impact platforms, services, and frameworks
- Be a key player in cross-team technical initiatives and own the technical aspects of software architecture and development
- Help write robust, testable, and reusable code, define APIs, and troubleshoot issues
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering team
- 6+ years of professional programming experience shipping production quality code
- Experience building consumer-facing high-scale web applications using modern technologies
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of modern JavaScript and its tools and libraries (e.g., Node.js, React, Webpack, Storybook, CSS-in-JS)
- Passion for promoting best practices and engineering standards, adopting new technologies, and mentoring developers
- Strong interest in doing code reviews, writing tech specs, collaborating within and across teams, and troubleshooting issues
