Job Summary:
Partner with the SVP, Chief Strategy and Growth Officer and other senior leaders to shape strategic initiatives for the system and individual business units, as well as assess the impact of changing industry dynamics on our business and formulating potential responses. Lead key strategic initiatives and inorganic opportunities that will accelerate our growth. Drive the strategic planning for the system and also implement the process for mergers and acquisitions as well as help identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with third parties and take responsibility for structuring and executing partnerships. Lead SBD teams and will be critical in the retaining, recruiting and developing talent.
Job Description:
Principle Responsibilities
- Strategy and Planning
- Leads system wide strategic initiatives
- Uses innovative approaches, internal and external knowledge to oversee strategic planning team in development of a system strategic plan for key business areas
- Identifies growth opportunities and risks, while assessing alternatives and recommendations for growth
- Builds relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders, work collaboratively with department colleagues and peers
- Performs portfolio management assessments against desired outcomes and metrics
- Conducts assessments on various growth opportunities, white space market entry/expansion opportunities consistent with the strategic vision
- Strategic Business Development
- Directs business development transactions focusing on care continuum partnerships, physician and hospital transactions, and other new business opportunities from assessment through implementations
- Provides leadership on Partnership and M&A transactions
- Leads development of financial and valuation models for transactions and identify/assess opportunities and risks including financial, operational, and integration related
- Monitors and tracks transaction performance against value drivers, KPIs and milestone metrics
- Department management and development
- Leads team of directors, managers and individual contributors
- Implements professional development programs for team members
- Develops and monitors budget related to expenses and staffing
- Leadership and communication
- Works with CSO and other senior executives in preparation for ELT meetings including retreats and Board meetings
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or related field required
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Management or related field preferred
- 10 to 15 years in leading corporate/business strategy development and/or transactions required
- 5 to 7 years in people management required
