Job description
Overview
The Financial Analyst will provide analytical support to Lakeview's EBO business. Responsibilities include data processing and preparation for early buyout targets, development and maintenance of models that evaluate profitability for early buyout decisions and financing execution, mortgage collateral research, Development and distribution of EBO business reporting and performance metrics, and ongoing EBO portfolio surveillance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, maintain and be a SME user of an EBO profitability model that identifies ideal early buyout targets based on economic and financial factors.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Lakeview's early buyout program, including but not limited to executing buyouts, warehouse financing, agency redelivery and pooling, and private securitization.
- Track and report on business metrics associated with execution of the early buyout program.
- Monitor mortgage industry trends and evaluate impact on EBO target model.
- Constantly strive for process improvement and automation
- Other duties as needed or required
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
Required:
- Strong analytical skills and an understanding of finance/economic
- Effectively balance competing priorities and deliver tasks and projects on time.
- Ability to work in a highly paced and dynamic environment preferred
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate vertically and horizontally across the organization
- Strong skills with use and development in the following systems: Microsoft Excel, CAS, Python and other collateral analysis systems.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database logic
- Knowledge of any programming language a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, mathematics, engineering, economics or statistics field is required
• Master's degree in any of the above is preferred
