Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Position Summary:

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will be the focal point, key contact, and subject matter expert for actual and budget analytics and reports directly to the Vice President of Finance. The Director is responsible for spear-heading the development and implementation of financial and operational reporting and analytic tools and systems in collaboration with Corporate Financial Reporting team. This role leads the forecasting and budgeting process; provides analytic insight into operational variances; and helps drive company performance through the development of strategic partnerships with our operational executive teams. The Director will provide guidance and leadership for the development of standard and ad hoc data reports to be used in quality reporting, performance improvement activities, business plan development and other operational reports.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/CRITERIA:

• Leads the annual budgeting, and monthly actual and forecasting analytics for the financial team.
• Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial reporting and operations.
• Manages the compiling, accuracy and efficient distribution of the daily and monthly statistics of key metrics as defined by CKHS.
• Monitors and approves the changes and additions to the Charge Description Master and General Ledger Key Crosswalks.
• Directs and monitors the completion, accuracy and efficient distribution of budget variance analysis and the Monthly and YTD Bridge analysis.
• Directs, reviews and assist with submission of all data request from the Corporate office
• Performs all related duties and other tasks as assigned.

Education and Training:

• BS Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficiency in Oracle, Cerner, Excel, Access, and Power Point

Experience and Knowledge:

• 8 to 10 years in Healthcare accounting and/or data analytics experience.

Skills:

• Effective communication skills; comfortable presenting/meeting with senior level team members and Department Managers.
• Competent leader who will direct, motivate and guide team members to effectively meet CKHS individual and team goals.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
• The ability to interpret and communicate data trends.
• Capable of successfully managing multiple projects
