Job description
Title - Integration Architect
Duration - Full time with Cognizant
Cognizant is looking for a talented person whose expertise is in Integration Architecture. This role will partner with extended IT architects, functional IT team members to define, design, prioritize, deliver, and maintain - real time, near real time and batch integrations. This person must quickly develop a broad understanding of the customer objectives. Interpersonal skills are important as these positions require working with and getting buy-in from various stakeholders.
Profile Responsibilities:
• Responsibility of developing and driving customer strategic technical roadmap, including elimination of redundancy of applications, reducing technical risks/debt, and building the technical foundation for years to come
• Architect and re-architect applications in an Event-Driven Cloud environment.
• Architect and Design flexible integration solutions to integrate disparate data source using real time, near real time and batch data integrations using APIs and ETL/ELT platforms.
• Be on the leading edge of the development of applications as Customer moves forward in its Cloud Transformation with AWS
• Integration Architect will be focused on application platforms and its integration within Customer ecosystem
• Architect and Design integration solutions for various key initiatives at Customer such as Agent Commission systems (Vertafore), IVR solution (TalkDesk), enterprise content management migration (NewGen) and various others as per Customer technology roadmap
• Provide oversight and strategic direction in the enterprise and system architecture practices, principles, documentation, and governance.
• Provide written recommendations to address problems of system integration, compatibility, and platforms
• Responsible for defining integration architecture standards and guidelines for various application platforms integrations
• Directly participates in the governance of Architecture principles and framework to assure compliance to the Customer technology strategy and that exceptions are well justified and documented through a formal process.
• Create Architecture Patterns for Application Design, Scalability, Deployment, Cloud, Monitoring, Security and Infrastructure for adaptable future state.
• Works closely with peer enterprise and solution architects, development teams.
• Manage communication with various stakeholders - product managers, peer architects and technical teams.
• Acquire industry and product knowledge of New Technologies, Products, Patterns and Best Practices to ensure Technology Vision and Architecture Roadmap are best of class
• Partner with Development teams to lead solution of a variety of high impact problems and project initiatives through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
• Act a subject matter expert on one or more areas of cloud architectures, microservices, data integrations, big data, database design.
• Serve as advisor or coach to development teams.
Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or relevant work experience
• Minimum of 10+ year hands-on experience working in a complex application and data integration with third-party applications using technologies such as REST APIs, ETL/ELT tools
• 3+ years architecting, designing, and developing applications on the AWS platform
• Strong background in providing technical leadership to development teams to drive adoption of strategic technical roadmaps.
• Extensive knowledge of application integration, APIs, and Event-Driven architecture patterns
• Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability.
• Knowledge of security standards such as SAML, OAuth is a big plus.
• Strong experience with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration, and automated deployments
• Excellent organization, presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
