Summary/Objective:

The Back End Operator will function as part of a team to meet production goals. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is able to communicate production issues and take direction from the department supervisor on a daily basis.

Essential Functions:

1. Set up, operate and troubleshoot back end of all coating lines. Clean ovens. Cut cores as needed. Ensure safe, efficient production of materials.
2. Perform visual inspection & measurement of material in accordance with established procedures to maintain product specification.
3. Accurately record production data into the computer database.
4. Detects unusual conditions, defective material, or operating difficulties. Resolve process issues and escalate as needed.
5. Perform other duties as directed and assigned.
6. Maintain safe work environment (5S), minor maintenance on the equipment and area clean-up.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Attention to detail
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills
• Basic math skills Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
