SUMMARY
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing HR support to business leaders and employees. This position is responsible for supporting the business goals and objectives aligned with the organizations strategies. This position assists teams in administering policies, programs and practices. This position provides a wide variety of services and support for the organization, which includes employee relations, training and development, compliance, communications, performance management and various initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Direct the development and administration of HR policies and practices in accordance with state and federal legal requirements
* Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
* Coordinates employee relations issues to affect prompt and appropriate resolution
* Assists with the facilitation of the annual processes including, performance management, salary adjustment, promotional review
* Assists with writing communications ensuring thorough familiarity and that they are interpreted fairly and applied consistently
* Review and analyze wage and salary reports and data to establish competitive compensation plans for retail
* Oversee the development and execution of training strategies
* Ensures all workers compensation claims are investigated, post injury process is followed and OSHA reporting maintained and followed through until closed
* Devises programs for operational improvement (i.e., recognition, morale, safety)
* Creates, distributes and analyzes employee survey data and recommends solutions in areas of need
* Experience with permanent residency applications, including labor certification, recruitment process, I-140 and I485 filings, in partnership with Immigration Law firm a plus
* Experience processing all non-immigrant visa (F1, H1B, TN, Visitors, etc…) applications in partnership with Immigration Law firm a plus
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience
* 3 years of human resources experience with proven growing responsibilities
* Minimum of 2 years in HR Business Partner role preferred
* Minimum of 2 years processing payroll
* Solid understanding of labor laws and regulations
* Experience working with highly confidential information while maintain discretion
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
* Strong knowledge working with ADP, SuccessFactors and PeopleSoft
* Manufacturing environment experience desired, automotive a plus
* Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written
* Must be a team-oriented professional who can handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment
* Highly detail-oriented with the ability handle shifting deadlines and priorities
* High level of commitment, sound judgment, great follow-through, and initiative
* Uphold all company policies required to provide top quality service to external customers
* A demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, to be proactive, to work independently of day-to-day supervision
