Job description
Terracare Associates is part of a larger organization, Monarch Landscaping. Monarch is a collection of top local and regional landscape companies, which includes over 30 branches and over 1500 employees.
- Interface with Operations Managers to develop, present and negotiate the recommended portfolio of services to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
- Manage opportunities through Salesforce to provide visibility of sales efforts to management
- Develop contacts and prospects to ensure long-term profitability for Monarch and its customers through cold-calling, market research, and internal lead development
- Assist Operations teams with generating Request for Proposals.
- Reply to client Requests for Proposal in a timely and professional manner
- Meet or exceed established annual sales targets
- Attend RFP pre-bid meetings and proposal presentations
- Maintain relationships with key clients to seek out and take advantage of opportunities for networking and additional sales generation
- Ensure a smooth transition from contract signing to contract fulfillment by facilitating introductory meeting and site walk-through between client and operations
- Attend staff and sales meetings to assess business opportunities and ensure mutual understanding of Monarch's strategic focus
- Facilitate contact with existing and potential clients via trade shows, association events, and meetings
- Manage sales promotions budget
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- At least 3 years' B2B sales experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Horticulture Communications or Marketing, or at least 5 years related work experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Ability to speak effectively, present information and answer questions
Mathematical Skills
- Basic math
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to analyze and interpret business periodicals
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule format
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
- As required by state and federal law
- Valid driver license issued by the state where employed
- Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) and/or other relevant licenses a plus
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong customer service
- Ability to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel extensively within assigned territory
- Experience working the commercial property managers a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Organizational skills
- Flexibility
- Intermediate understanding of CRM software
- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
