Job description

Position Summary:

The Recruiting Manager is responsible for providing support to the development, management and execution of recruiting programs for Consultants across Bain Texas (Dallas, Houston and Austin offices). This requires identifying exceptional talent from global and local pools to ensure diversity and expertise are appropriately represented in our recruits.

The role reports into the Senior Recruiting Manager and oversees the Consultant Recruiting Team responsible for seamless coordination and cohesive programming across MBA, Advanced Degree and Industry hiring of Texas Consultants.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Deliver Recruiting Strategy

  • Collaborate closely with global and regional Bain recruiting teams to define and implement Bains recruiting priorities
  • Drive the development of the Consultant recruiting strategy for each year
    • Gather input from local school teams, candidates, the Leadership Team and other sources, help formulate strategy recommendations, and coordinate the process to develop the strategic plan
    • Optimize each step of the recruiting pipeline (marketing, sourcing, applications, interviews, offers and closing)
    • Coordinate closely with all stakeholders
  • Lead implementation and execution of recruiting strategy to effectively deliver recruiting hiring targets and key metrics
    • Identify and implement continual process improvement to ensure process excellence in meeting recruiting targets and timelines
  • Build Industry hiring capability including sourcing, pipeline management and selection
  • Evaluate the success of each recruiting season; prepare and analyze statistics on overall yield, school success, etc. Use data to recommend new strategies, process changes and priorities to the Leadership team
  • Collaborate with relevant HR stakeholders on processes such as understanding visa requirements, offer negotiation and integration planning

Operationalize and manage all recruiting activities

  • Oversee execution of all Consultant operations, ensuring activities are executed on time and to a high quality. Includes the planning and execution of full-time and intern interviews, offeree weekends, intern program, diversity programs, candidate selection process, candidate closing process, etc.
  • Execute relevant and tailored events and content to engage and influence candidate preference to Bain; represent Bain at recruiting events
  • Keep Texas Leadership team updated on a regular basis on progress throughout the year, present at Office-wide meetings, LT meetings, Office Head updates, etc.
  • Manage overall Consultant recruiting budget, including event expense tracking and coding, annual updates and/or reforecasting, ongoing supervision of funds, etc.

Staff Management

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Consultant recruiting team
  • Plan and prioritize resourcing to ensure delivery of all recruiting programs
  • Prepare and deliver performance reviews; provide ongoing coaching, professional development, and supervision
  • Direct reports
  • 1x MBA Recruiting Specialist
  • 1x MBA + Industry & Advanced Degree Recruiting Associate
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Four to eight years of professional experience required
  • Prior recruiting experience (high-volume, campus-focused) highly preferred
  • Experience in a professional office environment is required; exposure to working in a consulting environment is highly preferred
  • Direct supervisory experience is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), project and presentation skills
  • Adept at managing multiple stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize among multiple priorities with high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to deal with confidential information and interact with senior members of the firm
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and database management
