Job description

Job Summary

Ensure that all Human resources operations are carried out smoothly and effectively. Develop HR strategies and provide sound advice to senior management on all related subjects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • 1-2 Non-Exempt


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met and are aligned with all business objectives.

  • Develop plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety, etc.

  • Submit summarized periodic reports as requested by the Board and senior executive team.

  • Analyze wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plans

  • Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training, and development etc.

  • Oversee all HR initiatives, systems, and tactics

  • Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance

  • Serve as the point of contact for employment relations

  • Oversee all safety programs, including work related injuries and near misses

  • Manage all safety reporting (OSHA, Workers Comp, Lost Time, Etc.)

  • Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required

  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks

  • Write and deliver presentations regarding human resources policies and practices

  • Partner with the Management team to determine goals and opportunities

  • Work closely with the accounting department to prepare annual budgets

  • With executive team members to drive and foster a culture of safety.

  • Ensure effective internal controls and management information systems are in place.

  • Support employee professional growth and job satisfaction.

  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.

  • Implements and maintains a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.

  • Performs any other duties assigned by management.


Required Skills/Abilities

• Able to work with constantly changing work schedule and unpredictable issues

• Detail-oriented, Proactive worker (seek information without prompting)

• Able to work as part of a team, ensure communication among plant managers and manufacturing teams on any updates of the projects in timely manner

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Outstanding work ethic, Excellent social media capability

• Conscientiousness, Active listening, Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and writing skills

• Diligent and firm with high ethical standards, Objection prevention, Objection handling

• Excellent organizational abilities, Ability to work under time constraints, Ability to maintain confidential nature of all Company and related entity business matters

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Master's degree desirable.

  • 6-8 years proven experience at least two as a leader, large company experience preferred

  • Experience in a manufacturing facility

  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations

  • Ability to recruit top talent

  • Ability to maintain a strong culture for a growing business

  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices

  • A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element

  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting

  • SHRM-SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional) OR SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources)


Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Frequent sitting

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.


Work Environment:

Majority of work performed in a general office environment. Position may require occasional availability for extended hours.
