Job Description


The Power BI Analyst / Tableau Report Writer will provide strategic, analytical, and technical support for business intelligence activities. The Power BI Analyst is heavily involved with the creation, distribution and successful delivery of all BI reports.

Power BI Analyst / Report Writer Primary Job Function:

  • Partners with stakeholders, process specialists, and users to elicit and document business requirements
  • Partners with business departmental teams to define and document business requirements for new metrics and reports
  • Evaluates data through data mining and data analysis processes to devise the best course of action to create datasets and visualizations
  • Develop SQL queries to validate data against production databases to ensure proper data transformation
  • Designs, develops, and maintains reports and analytical tools
  • Collaborates with team members on data models and recommends enhancements based on business requirements
  • Performs ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports and BI solutions
  • Provides support for end users questions by analyzing identified issues and proposing solutions
  • Provides end user training and assistance with reports and analytical tools
  • Follows change management procedures as defined by the department for developing enhancements and deploying to production environments.


Qualifications


  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, SQL Server
  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence.
  • Strong experience with Power BI, T-SQL and Tableau Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
