Mortgage Claims Analyst

Position Overview

Mortgage Claims Analyst is responsible for filing multiple claim types including FHA, GSE, VA and MI within allowable timeframes.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Prepares and submits request for reimbursement of advances/expenses to the investor.
• Ensure that all claims are calculated and completed within MI, FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, investor regulations and state laws.
• Manages all assigned claims to ensure all required milestone(s) are met.

• Reports and follows up on exceptions and missing documents reporting used as key controls for minimizing risk.
• Performs required research on high risk/escalated files, providing a detailed account.
• Follow departmental and business policies with strict adherence
• Prioritize allocated work to ensure timely and accurate resolution to both external and internal partners
• Perform related duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years filing investor/insurer claims
• 3+ years Mortgage Default/Servicing Experience
• In depth knowledge of FHA claim processing guidelines
• Preferred additional knowledge or familiarity with MI, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA or USDA claim processing guidelines
• This is not an entry level position, please do not apply if you do not have mortgage claims processing experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
