If you are looking for a rewarding career opportunity within a team that highly values their employees, then you should consider working with us.Responsibilities:JOB DUTIESThe SDE III establishes direction and provides guidance to other team members while consistently delivering on commitmentsThe SDE III engages beyond the team to accomplish objectives, influencing and collaborating with other teams within GM Financial, and working directly with organizations external to the companyThe SDE III is expected to demonstrate mastery of software development practices performed by Scrum teams: Developing product features for any or all of the following: data marketplaces, mobile applications, web applications, and API servicesThe SDE III provides technology leadership and promotes team learning throughout the product development lifecycleAdoption of and migration to the public cloud within the team as appropriateThe SDE III understands cloud technologies and how best to employ them; and assists other team members to speed the implementationUsing automated pipelines for building, testing, and deploying software packages; continuously improving both the quality and speed of the pipelinesThe SDE III is instrumental in the design and implementation of the pipelinesLeveraging test automation and peer reviews to increase product quality As a technology leader, the SDE III coaches the team to achieve full participation and high quality reviewsMaintaining a production-first mindset focused on scale, uptime, and the team's ability to rapidly triage/resolve production issuesInvesting in our Agile practice to continuously improve product quality, time to market, and team member happinessPerform other duties as assignedConform with all company policies and proceduresREPORTING RELATIONSHIPSoftware Development ManagerQualifications:KnowledgeSoftware development expertise in one or more high level programming languages The SDE III has developed language agility to move easily from one product to another The SDE III promotes modern software development patterns and practices that promote simplicity, understanding, reuse, and securityExpertise optimizing the data architecture, database queries and indexes as a cornerstone for delivering scalable, performant products and servicesAbility to implement features across mobile, web, and API service levels as applicable to the product teamProficient at designing, building, and optimizing automated pipelines with automated testing and automated security controlsExperience working in Agile Scrum teams with demonstrated success leading improvements (getting better/faster/happier)SkillsBrings passion and enthusiasm to the team; leads by exampleChampions and executes strategies across teams that deliver measurable business valueDemonstrates mastery of software languages, architecture, and design; is perceived by most as the expertWorks through others to achieve more than individual contributionStrong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skillsEducationBachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience requiredExperience7-10 years software development experience in .NET and #C requiredMicrosoft Azure experience required2-3 years as a lead and/or subject matter expert preferredWorking ConditionsSubject to stressful situationsPossibility of working long hours may be requiredLimited travel may be required to support business needs#DICE#LI-KD2
