Purpose of Job We are seeking a talented Financial Analyst Lead for our San Antonio or Charlotte facility. This person may also work remotely in a 100% Remote Work Environment. Responsible for leading business financial process and expense categories to solve complex business problems while performing forecasting, planning, and financial modeling related to income, profitability, liquidity, capital, leverage, asset and liability management or operating expense. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree. 8 years financial/accounting analysis experience to include 2 years leading strategic financial/accounting opportunities. OR Advanced degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, progress towards a CPA or CFA designation, and 6 years of financial / accounting analysis experience to include 1 year leading strategic financial/accounting opportunities. Subject-matter-expert knowledge of data analysis and relevant technical accounting/finance acumen required. Subject-matter-expert level of business acumen in the areas of the financial services operations, finance/accounting industry practices and emerging trends required. Experience communicating complex financial/accounting topics to a variety of audiences. Experience using financial/accounting technologies and proposing recommendations for improvements. Experience using Microsoft Office Excel for significant financial data analysis and reporting. Experience in the application and adherence to financial regulations and compliance. Experience producing financial reports and providing recommendations based on data. Working knowledge of GAAP. When you apply for this position, you will be required to answer some initial questions. Preferred Experience: Experience with asset pricing models and ability to interface with various stakeholders in managing quantitative projects. Familiarity with operations within a 3 Lines of Defense framework to include Model Risk Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing documentation for models throughout the development, implementation, and monitoring lifecycle and must be capable of clear and concise writing. Knowledge of executing, and maintenance of operational controls for a large vendor model. Experience with BlackRock Aladdin Suite a plus. Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $97,200 - $175,000( this does not include geographic differential it may be applied based on your work location) Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors. Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average. Shift premium: will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
