Job description
Job Summary
- Responsible for working directly with hiring managers to understand job requirements to effectively source and present top qualified applicants
- Effectively evaluate and confirm applicants' work history to ensure there are no discrepancies
- Manage candidate flow and process through ATS to ensure proper staffing levels in collaboration with Field Management
- Open and close requisitions to align with needed headcount
- Identify and anticipate candidate flow
- Build and develop candidate pipeline to ensure steady candidate flow for difficult to fill positions within Lead Manager campaigns
- Source and recruit candidates; review resume, screen candidates, and schedule interviews in compliance with OFCCP and DOT guidelines
- Conduct phone interviews to determine top candidate(s) and serve as backup for Hiring Manager interviews as business needs dictate
- Initiate and track all pre-employment checks in collaboration with Support Recruiters
- Coordinate and handle hiring event within region when additional recruitment efforts are needed
- Manage internal application process/assist internal applicants with the application process
- Collaborate within Recruitment and HR, e.g., RHRMs and Compensation to maximize the candidate experience
- Adhere to all internal and external hiring processes
- Initiate and track new hire onboarding
- Travel to accommodate hiring needs for "blitz" campaign events
- Lead weekly or biweekly Recruitment Strategy Meetings with key stakeholders
- Responsible for execution and tracking of Outreach (building relationships with local colleges, technical schools, agencies and industry contacts within region)
- Research, vet and recommend associated job boards for recruitment needs in collaboration with Recruitment Management
- Assist management with Temp Labor
- Communicate Recruitment budget to Field and Recruitment Management. Track all associated cost to provide monthly reporting to Field and Recruitment Management
- Work with Safety to ensure all FMSCA/DOT guidelines are met during hiring process

- High School or General Education Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
- 4 years full cycle high volume recruiting experience required
- Strong sourcing and interviewing skills required
- Ability to create, maintain and analyze reports required
- Ability to handle confidential data and requests and maintain confidentiality of work products
- 2 years Transportation/ Logistics/ Trucking/ knowledge highly preferred
- Additional relevant experience in Human Resources highly preferred
- Knowledge of general DOT requirements, employment laws and recruitment practices highly preferred
- Experience with online recruitment resources such as Indeed, LinkedIn, University job boards, career-related websites
- Collaborative team player
- Demonstrated ability to work with leadership and build strong partnerships
- Ability to adapt and be flexible based on business needs
- Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Excel, Word, Outlook
- Possess strong organizational and motivation skills
- Effective analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
- Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
- Must be able to interact well with others
- Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
- Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
