MSP Electrical Engineer I - Everett, WA
Location: Everett, WA
Term: Contract position - 6 months (renewable every 6 months)
Shift: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
Job Summary:
Provide engineering technical expertise in EWIS components design, application, testing, and assembly process development and validation. Able to support engineering interface with external and internal customers in the development of new standards or new suppliers to existing standards. Serve as the cognizant engineer responsible for all aspects of an EWIS components Lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborates and coordinates with customers and suppliers to develop EWIS (electrical wiring interconnection system) components that meet customer requirements and meet company business objectives
• Provides technical oversight to manage qualification test campaigns for new components.
• Document and release assembly processes for all approved parts per customer change process.
• Develops and conducts research to support new product, processes or business opportunities
• Supports development and maintenance of Engineering database, translating data sheets into inputs.
• Investigates and resolves manufacturing processes and design issues.
• Supports the manufacturing processes and design optimization through commonality, cost, weight, producibility, and maintainability of design
• Perform Process and Product Audits
• Independently resolves problems that affect operational, technical, project, or research and development issues affecting the department, organization, and company
• Leads projects to develop validated methodologies, advance engineering processes, and link business planning strategy to product definition and development
• Provides guidance to less experienced staff
• Investigates and understands design issues to derive technology solutions
• Performs assigned tasks meeting the organization's expectations for quality, schedule and process compliance.
• Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree
• 6-9 years of experience in an engineering classification
• 3 to 5 years of Manufacturing
• 3 to 5 years in Aerospace industry
• 3 to 5 years in Wire Harness Manufacturing (preferred)
Knowledge/Skills:
• Knowledge of EWIS components and processes
• Knowledge of Requirements and acceptance for harness assembly (IPC/WHMA) preferred
• Knowledge of industry specifications and standards associated with EWIS components
• Knowledge/familiarity with Boeing BAC electrical standards preferred
• Knowledge of EWIS component test specifications, methodologies, and practices
• Knowledge of Fabrication/Manufacturing processes for applicable designs
• Understanding of design requirements flow, validation and compliance verification
• Knowledge of engineering principles, theories, technologies, and concepts within the industry
• Working knowledge of configuration management and product life-cycle management
• Capable of resolving design issues by means of problem solving methodologies
• Ability to effectively communicate and work in a team environment
• Ability to effectively communicate progress and/or issues to leadership
• Ability to make decisions applicable to job level and responsibilities
• Proficiency in integrating engineering designs with manufacturing processes.
• Fluent in English (Written and verbal)
• Ability to work with MS Office computer applications
