Job description

Parker+Lynch IT is looking for a Director of IT Governance for an established Software Organization in the Seattle Washington Area.


The Director of IT Governance will be responsible for overseeing the IT governance. Governance includes contract management, financial controls, disaster recovery planning/testing and other activities supporting the efficient and compliant operation of IT.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitor adherence to the change management and compliance processes
  • Drive the alignment of IT tools to IT processes
  • Create and maintain IT services frameworks based on ITIL
  • Oversee enterprise software licensing compliance
  • Manage auditing of internal IT processes
  • Oversee IT audit activities in support of financial audits
  • Oversee electronic discovery activities
  • Maintain FCC registrations
  • Create RFI/RFQ/RFP documents for new IT projects and initiatives
  • Assist in the negotiation of software license and IT service contracts
  • Ensure IT suppliers and vendors are meeting contractual requirements
  • Report IT performance to executive management using tools such as key performance indicators and balanced scorecards
  • Oversee the processing of invoices from receipt to submission to accounts payable
  • Perform quarterly audits to ensure all IT infrastructure and systems are being managed and monitored per policy.
  • Manage the compliance audits for ensuring all data is backed up and licensing is current.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • 4-year technical degree in a related field required.
  • Certification in one or more of the relevant topics such as ITIL is expected.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 of those years having direct responsibility for IT governance, is required.
  • Experience managing processes and people across the organization is preferred.
  • A basic understanding of normal business processes and procedures is also required, and operational experience in our customers' industries is desirable.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven track record of creating and maintaining business partnerships and relationships
  • Demonstrated success analyzing, documenting and designing business processes in the context of software/process integration.
  • Demonstrated leadership, negotiation and teamwork abilities working on high-performing cross-functional project teams.
