Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst, FP&A is responsible for conducting detailed financial and non-financial analysis that helps drive revenue growth, increased profitability, process efficiency, and reduced costs.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, perform, and manage the analyses of financial and performance measures.
  • Use analytical outputs to formulate and present recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Develop management reports, metrics, and analytics.
  • Complete short-term and long-term forecast.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process.
  • Model cash flow requirements.
  • Partner with all departments to complete the analysis of capital expenditure plans.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports and board materials.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly covenant reporting.
  • Identify financial and operational trends in business products lines.
  • Complete data querying as a precursor to analysis.
  • Interact with interdepartmental management of all levels to facilitate analysis.
  • Assist with the monthly close process as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors

  • Expert level user in Microsoft Excel, including use of pivot tables and vlookup and other formulas.
  • Proven strong project management, analytical, and process improvement skills.
  • Ability to solve problems, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to perform quantitative analysis using appropriate analytical tools.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent required. BA/MA/MS in business related discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years' work experience in areas such as reporting, financial planning and analysis, business analytics, and financial modeling.
  • CMA or CFA preferred.


Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
  • Duties may require the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
