Job description
What you will do
The Senior BI Developer will be responsible for designing reports and analytic solutions, gathering reporting requirements and documenting business processes as needed. The developer will handle ad-hoc data requests, develop dashboards and scorecards in Power BI, complex reports using SSAS and SSRS, write SQL/T-SQL queries and make sure the output data meets expectations. The developer will work independently with users to collect enterprise and customer reporting requirements and manage timelines and expectations. Also engages with other teams, departments and stakeholders to make sure all the reporting solution development requirements are well documented, fully understood and delivered per expectations.
How you will do it
- Design and develop Scorecards and Dashboards using Power BI for various organizational metrics and KPIs.
- Create new reports and modify existing reports using industry standards and best practices.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis and manual data refreshes.
- Elicit business requirements from Subject Matter Experts using interviews, document analysis and requirements workshops.
- Use the gathered requirements to develop logic for reporting and analytics.
- Develop manual/automated reporting programs using data from in-house systems or other data marts.
- Creates reports using SQL Server Reporting Services environment with an In-depth understanding of the report life cycle.
- Perform statistical analysis, build predictive models, and formulate decision models that relate operational activities to results; to drive value stream enhancement and continuous improvement.
- Develop enterprise level SSAS tabular and Power BI models and cubes. Optimize models with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization.
- Build end to end automated analytical solutions using Power BI, Power Apps and Microsoft Flow.
- Understand data standards and identify data abnormalities. Instill data quality in all solutions delivered.
- Maintain close alignment with all customers (internal, external, management and at the field level) and other data reporting teams to ensure requirements are being met.
What we look for
Required
- Bachelor degree or higher from a reputed university in engineering, IT, economics, math, statistics, science or other related fields in quantitative or analytical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in related BI developer or data/reporting analyst roles.
- Excellent skill level in SQL, PL/SQL.
- In-depth experience with Microsoft analytics Stack (SSRS - SQL Server Reporting Services, SSAS Tabular, Power BI, Power Query, DAX, SQL and T-SQL)
- Advanced knowledge Power BI.
- Proficient in DAX, M language.
- Experience in Tabular/OLAP Model (Microsoft SSAS). Azure Analysis Services.
- In-depth experience with Associated Development Tools - Visual Studios Data Tools, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Data Tools, Microsoft TFS.
- Knowledge of working with database client tools such as Toad.
- Experience with Azure. Understanding of Azure and its data services. Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DW and Azure SQL.
- Experience with Microsoft Flow and Microsoft Power Apps preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and O365.
- Superior documentation and organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented.

- Excellent critical-thinking skills with the ability to research and analyze data retrieved from multiple sources
