We take pride knowing the projects we work on have a positive effect on the community, society, and the environment.We have the following position available:Sr. Project Manager (Highway)The Sr. Project Manager (Highway) is responsible for managing multiple large projects or a single mega-project (e.g., greater than $100M in construction), overseeing the technical accuracy and quality of product while delivering on-time, and on, or under budget, projects that meet client specifications outlined in the contract. This individual delegates tasks and coordinates with staff, specifically working with technical discipline leads, to ensure all tasks are completed on-time and internal processes and procedures are followed. The Sr. Project Manager (Highway) is responsible for project scope, schedule and budget, negotiating with clients, coordinating and managing subconsultants, when appropriate, and managing Quality Control (QC) procedures on work done by technical discipline leads. The Sr. Project Manager (Highway) is responsible for meeting or exceeding the financial performance goals developed collaboratively at the onset of the project.This individual will work with other discipline practice leaders, and as necessary, strategy and business development, and marketing throughout the pursuit stages, and will have input on the strategic direction of the pursuit to ensure a successful outcome. This individual is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients on on-going active and future project opportunities. The Sr. Project Manager (Highway) may also be responsible for mentoring deputies and task leads through the course of their work on active projects and/or potential project pursuits. This individual will be accountable to both the Practice Leader for technical and staffing matters and Division Operations on project financial performance.General ResponsibilitiesResponsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of a project including:Technical marketing during the project pursuitTechnical proposal developmentFee proposal and contract scope development and negotiations (prime and subconsultant)Project plans (e.g., work plans, quality, safety, communication, etc.) development and updatesProject schedule development and updatesProject cost reviewsSupporting invoice development and maintaining a positive cash management positionProject deliverables including managing the execution of the QA/QC processProject closeoutOn-going project management tasks and communicationFollows all internal processes and procedures as it relates to the above responsibilitiesFacilitates the development of solutions to technical and business problems that could impede a project's successDevelops contingency and recovery plans, proactively, and communicates challenges readilyActs as the primary interface to both the client and technical teamsDevelops and mentors team membersEnsures that the project comes in accurately, on-time and within budgetConducts project status and executive reportingKeeps the client appraised of project status on a regular basis, at a minimum through monthly progress reporting and other deliberate interactionsDemonstrates excellent technical and professional engineering skills commensurate with years of experienceCoordinates with other engineers and support staff during field assignments, studies, and preliminary and final plan preparation for conformance to standards and code requirementsResponsible for meeting assigned project goals and objectives and ensuring on schedule accurate completion of all project deliverables within or below budgetEnsures that the company safety, quality and technical policies and procedures are practiced during the execution of team projectsDemonstrates a proactive, collaborative approach with project team members, client representatives, subconsultants, contractors, review agencies and others as appropriate for the projectAssists with other duties as assigned by managers within the practiceEducation/Skills/KnowledgeBachelor's degree in civil engineering required, post-graduate degree preferred8+ years of experience; Professional Engineering License is requiredProven leadership skills and previous project management experience on successively larger and more complex projects is requiredInvolvement in various industry societiesStrong computer skills, specifically in the area of Microsoft Office and relevant softwareStrong technical written and verbal communications skillsAbility to clearly articulate complex technical and financial accounting conceptsPatrick does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or agencies.
