Ascend Learning is hiring a Talent Acquisition/Recruiting Scheduling Coordinator to join our talent acquisition team in Leawood, KS. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the coordinator will provide critical scheduling support by triaging between candidates, talent acquisition advisors and hiring teams to ensure a positive recruiting experience. This role includes scheduling and coordinating phone, video and in-person interviews, managing interview schedules, tracking information as needed, as well as assisting with other aspects of the hiring process.

You'll be joining a fast-paced and highly collaborative talent acquisition team that values people and delivering a high level of professional service. When you're not laser-focused on providing the best interview experience for our candidates and interviewing teams, you will be looking for ways to further improve our Recruiting processes and Applicant Tracking System! The successful candidate will possess a strong customer-centric mindset and is able to handle a high volume of scheduling and coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate candidate phone interviews, Microsoft Teams interviews, In-Person Interviews, and debrief sessions for feedback with speed and efficiency

  • Deliver a friendly, supportive interview experience for all candidates while effectively addressing last-minute scheduling changes and smoothing over any other unexpected bumps in the interview process to ensure the best candidate experience possible

  • Track scheduling volume and provide a monthly scheduling report

  • Collaborate with talent acquisition advisors and hiring managers to streamline our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruiting processes

  • Communicate professionally and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times both internally and externally

  • Perform administrative duties as required to support the talent acquisition team

  • Eagerness to help with other tasks as requested


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or relevant work experience

  • 2+ years of strong recruiting coordination experience, administrative assistant experience or other equivalent job experience in a fast-paced environment with scheduling responsibilities


Skills and Abilities:

  • Incredible attention to detail and accuracy

  • Great verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, take initiative, exercise good judgment, maintain discretion and confidentiality in all tasks; resourcefulness is key

  • Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service

  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks

  • Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures, and best practices a plus

  • Ability to work across multiple U.S. time zones

  • Have a functional work-from-home workstation set up

  • Able to work from our Leawood, KS office and in a hybrid model (office/home work)
