Description:

Middle River Aerostructure Systems is a world-leading manufacturer of thrust reverser (the braking system on a jet engine), engine nacelle components and specialized aerostructures. It supplies and supports these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers and aircraft operators. Located on Maryland's Chesapeake Bay near Baltimore, MRAS has a 1.7-million sq. ft. facility situated on 180 acres - where the company and its predecessors have designed, built and equipped civil and military aircraft for more than 90 years. In 2019, MRAS was acquired by ST Engineering North America - becoming a part of its global network of aerospace facilities and offices. With the ownership change, the company was renamed Middle River Aerostructure Systems.


Role Summary:

Procure service of qualified individuals to support Program Quality for all quality activities including interfacing with the Customer Quality, MRAS and Customer Engineering MRAS and Customer Program Managers along with MRAS Production Quality.


Essential Responsibilities

Candidates submitted for consideration must be able to perform the following:

• Reviews and approves Customer Quality requirements and flow to Production Team

• Attend MRAS CCB

• Work with Customer and Production Quality to eliminate Customer rejections

• Work with Program Managers by supporting Program meetings and PRMs

• Attend weekly Customer Quality calls

• Work with cross functional team at MRAS to drive ZDI and attend C.A.B.

• Generate charts for PMR/QRM and weekly customer meetings

• Investigates Root Cause and addresses Corrective Action for MRB items prior to submittal to customer as required.

• Support all material certification efforts and coordinates conformity acceptance by the customer and FAA as required.


. Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred.

A minimum of 3 to 5 years in Quality or Program manager Role



Desired Characteristics

• Experience with quality tools including root cause and corrective action, QMS and statistical analysis of quality metrics.

• Experience with establishing priorities, work independently and with a team and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

• Excellent communication to all levels of the organization, and Customers, team-building skills, and the ability to influence.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Experience leading and implementing improvement.

• Detail oriented and strong computer skills.
