Job description

We are currently assisting our client, a global Tier 1 automotive manufacturer, with an Operations Manager search located near Battle Creek, MI. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position will be responsible for managing the manufacturing operations for the plant. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for finding opportunities for production process improvements, building and maintaining employee relations, and the overall increase of operations efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of supervisors, leads and laborers to effectively perform production operations activities
• Lead and build solid working relationships with the plant employees
• Ensure daily area production requirements are met while maintaining high standards of quality
• Liaison with all departments to exchange information on improving existing area manufacturing procedures and systems
• Maintain safety standards for all assigned areas by ensuring safety requirements are met and policies are adhered to
• Conduct regular, timely reviews and yearly performance review for all direct reports and ensure timely review of hourly personnel
• Actively participate and drive continuous improvement activities to ensure maximum results in reducing costs

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in an engineering field or at least 10+ years in automotive manufacturing management
• Plastics Experience preferred
• 3+ years of operations/value stream management in an automotive manufacturing environment

Total Compensation:

• $130,000-$160,000
