Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Founder, this position plays a crucial role in our team by providing exceptional service, support, and knowledge to our Freight Brokers and customers. You will be working on various projects and duties, including managing payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring the smooth operation of the business. You may also assist customers and team members and help to solve problems as they arise. In doing so, you will improve upon existing processes to help the company run efficiently to grow and prosper.

  • Assisting customers from time to time
  • Learn the systems and processes of the company to perform best practices for operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Sorting and sending mail and responding timely and accordingly
  • Preparing and editing documents, such as expense reports, memos, and invoices
  • Managing traditional paper and electronic filing systems
  • Performing basic bookkeeping/clerical duties
  • Assisting with the process of recruitment, including vetting candidates, organizing background checks, and issuing employment contracts
  • Participation in our internal meeting and develop quarterly key performance indicators
  • Compiling and maintaining paper, digital, and electronic employee records, including holiday and sickness leaves
  • Organizing and supporting employee training programs, workshops, and seminars
  • Entering employee data into a computer database
  • Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations and their remote offices
  • Reporting on general office and HR activities
  • Overseeing company events and meetings and coordinating management-employee communications
  • Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency.
  • Order necessary office supplies
  • Resolve office-related issues; including team members remote offices

Qualification and Requirements:

  • 2 + years of relevant experience in an office environment, preferably in an administrative position
  • 2 + years of customer service experience
  • Flexibility and the capacity to prioritize new tasks
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Proven experience working in a face-paced environment and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Proficient computer skills (email, Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Spreadsheets, etc.)

Compensation:

Base salary, team-based incentive bonus, professional development and training, and full benefits.
