This individual will also contribute to the implementation of the Compliance Department's risk management program framework. This includes identifying, assessing and reporting on Compliance risks, performing Compliance monitoring, supporting Compliance testing, remediating issues and ensuring that the firm operates within its Compliance risk appetite.Your Impact:Collaborate with colleagues from Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) departments outside of Compliance, including those in Enterprise Credit Risk. Assist them in understanding their Compliance risk management responsibilities related to the Compliance obligations they ownInfluence colleagues in the ERM departments in their work to understand and mitigate compliance risksReport on the results of Compliance oversight activities, especially those performed by Compliance's 2LOD partners in other areas of the ERM DivisionInfluence the 1LOD in its efforts to identify, assess, mitigate and report on compliance risksIdentify inter-connected risksAdvance the culture of risk management at Freddie MacQualifications:Bachelors Degree and 8-10 years of overall work experience, with demonstrated experience in compliance or another risk management function; degree in business related field is preferredProven subject matter expertise in risk management, such as: risk identification, including identification of risks related to laws and regulations, development of policies, standards and procedures, risk assessment, monitoring, testing, issue management, risk appetite and metrics, and reportingDomain expertise in laws and regulations, and credit risk, capital risk, market risk, liquidity risk and/or model risk is preferredUnderstanding of the mortgage securities markets or mortgage-backed securities is a plus!Keys to Success in this Role:Self-starter who takes initiative in determining, and executing upon, next steps needed to accomplish goalsStrong oral and written communication skillsExperience interacting with people at all levels of the firm and frequently coordinating across organizational linesPartnership and influencing skills in working with the 2LOD and 1LOD, providing oversight and mitigating Compliance risksStrong attention to detail and focused on excellenceCurrent Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site.Today, Freddie Mac makes home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing.
