Human Resources Manager
As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for understanding what people need and knowing how to provide it. The HR Manager will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping to plan and administer important functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and engagement, benefits and leave administration and enforcing company policies and practices. Key responsibilities will include compliance, overseeing payroll, and performance management.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Insperity team to ensure the smooth and timely execution of payroll.
- Ensures compliance with HR, state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws and requirements. Updates policies and/or procedures as required.
- Oversees compliance with reporting and audit requirements.
- Collaborates with leaders and the leadership team as the HR subject matter expert ensuring optimal staffing, improved retention, proper operational structure and culture.
- Oversees the recruiting and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Actively manages the organization's performance review process. Oversees the organization's pay matrix to monitor both internal parity and competitiveness in the marketplace.
- Develops and executes personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations.
- Collaborates with and advises managers, in partnership with Insperity, on all disciplinary actions and terminations to ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
- Participates in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements.
- Collaborates with Insperity PEO in administering benefits, leave administration, compensation, 401(k), and other programs.
- Suggests and implements new procedures and policies to continuously improve efficiency of the HR function and organization, and to improve the employee experience.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Facilitates a smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
- Manages and resolves employee relations issues in partnership with Insperity. Responds to and provides guidance on employee-related issues, complaints, or problems. Counsels, coaches and assists management in handling and addressing employee relations issues.
- Assists in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field
- A minimum of three years of human management experiences
- Additional HR training, experience, or certification is highly desired
- Strong communication skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
- Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
- Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
- Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Empathetic personality with attention to employee's needs
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work as a team member and uphold organizational standards and values
