Many of its technologies have been developed and commissioned to detect criminal behaviour, protect assets and help save lives. The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an Algorithm & Software Developer specialising in Machine Learning and Computer Vision. You will be working on state-of-the-art systems for processing imagery, video, sensor, and intelligence data.

Key Responsibilities

Building core machine learning and computer vision capabilities
Work on application of state-of-the-art algorithm to real world problems
Developing of new bespoke algorithms, adapt and improve existing algorithm and deploy them in high performance software
Use of back-ends like OpenCV, TensorFlow, Caffe, PyTorch, CTNK and regular use of Deep Learning technology
High level responsibility from an early stage with support from a team of highly-skilled computer scientists, mathematicians and developers.
Chance to work on systems and technologies that can have a genuine impact on security and society.

Your projects will be diverse - working with varying clients, across a number of sectors, using a range of skills. Consequently, we are looking for individuals able to work flexibly across projects in different domains. You might apply your skills to rapidly prototype new approaches & solutions.

Equally, you may apply them to complement or advance existing solutions.

Why We Want You

Education and Qualifications
Undergraduate degree and PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering is essential
Open to graduates as well as those with come commercial experience

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

No Machine Learning experience required.
Excellent mathematical grounding, experience of software engineering principles and good practice
Desire to learn and develop capabilities
Beyond your technical skills, you will be proactive and able to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will work well alone or as part of a team. You will be curious and seek out the best approach/solution/tool for the job at hand.
