Job description

Position Summary:
We are seeking to fill a Staff Consultant position within the Business Valuation Services practice. Responsibilities will include providing business valuation services for clients across a wide array of engagements including: transactions & strategic planning, tax & financial reporting, litigation support, and other purposes. Responsibilities increase with demonstrated skill.

Tasks:
Proactively demonstrates a willingness to learn and attain greater knowledge on a continual basis; looks to build technical skill base

Grasps concepts quickly and demonstrates knowledge of basic technical skills, as well as related knowledge of necessary systems and procedures

Asks appropriate questions and requests supervision when in need of assistance

Develops proficiency in use of all technology necessary to performance execution

Understands basics of client systems environment in context of any client project

Ensures quality control procedures are being executed under direction of engagement supervisor

Responds timely and accurately to internal team and client requests

Works with appropriate level of detail-orientation

Appropriately communicates difficult situations encountered on engagements to supervisor

Performs thorough self-review of all work prior to submission to supervisor

Review financial due diligence documentation

Prepare summary analysis of historical financial data

Research appropriate industry and economic material factors

Compile analysis and report related to complex financial determinations

Demonstrates advanced technical knowledge effectively through written and verbal communication

Skills:

Experience and Education:
Education

• Minimum Bachelor's degree
• Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or with significant quantitative studies

Experience

• 0-1 year in relevant position
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic business, technology, accounting principles, or financial concepts

License/Certification
• Must progress professionally by obtaining relevant certification as soon as is practical

Legal/Compliance

• Must complete acknowledgement of Corporate Policy and Compliance Manual
• Must complete acknowledgement of Employee Manual document
• Must complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document
